What’s the IEC National Advocacy Award?
This award is given to the chapters that demonstrate the most involvement in IEC National’s advocacy activities and does not involve an application process. The winners, scaled for chapter size, will be announced at SPARK and determined through a points system, with more consequential activities receiving more points. Some of the metrics for the award include:
- Contributions to the IEC PAC & Freedom Fund (PAC FAQs / FF FAQs)
- Attendance at Workforce Development & Policy Conference
- District/local meetings or events with members of Congress
- PAC Authorized members – online form
Online Advocacy Academy
Everyone that attends this year’s Workforce Development & Policy Conference taking place June 20-22 will be offered access to the Citizens Advocacy Academy, an online learning platform that will help attendees understand and prepare for meetings with members of Congress and their staff in advance of the June event. More to come!
